WILLIAMSON - Two persons were bound over to the grand jury on charges of breaking into a church and stealing musical equipment.

Ashley Nelson, 20, and Daniel Vance, 20, both of Dingess, are charged by the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department with breaking into the Calvary Freewill Baptist Church at Dingess.

According to the criminal complaint, the pair allegedly broke into the front door of the church and stole a Fender guitar and Peavy amplifier valued at roughly $1,700.

Vance waived his right to a preliminary hearing. His bond was set at $20,000. Magistrate Pam Newsome found probable cause and bound

Nelson over to the grand just. Her bond was set at $30,000.
